I love Turmeric. And it has lots of health benefits too! Turmeric helps with reducing inflammation in the body, detoxing, and reducing heart disease, cancer, arthritis, and depression!
This dish can be used as a side, serve with rice, or part of a 50/50 bowl (vegetables and starch).
I frequently use this when I’m in a rush, or I came home with nothing prepared!

Ingredients
- 4 carrots
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tsps. turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
Instructions
- peel carrot skin and cut the top of the carrot off. Then wash the carrots
- boil water in a small pot
- Dice carrots into size you like
- add carrots to boiling water. Boil for 10 mins or until desired texture
- In another pot , heated to medium heat, add spices and honey and a 1 table spoon of water ( or oil). Stir to heat spices for 1 min.
- add carrots to this pot and reduce heat. Stir carrots in the spices and add 1 table spoon of water and stir. Turn off heat.
- serve with rice or use as a side!
